Good morning for a new day, good afternoon for a tired working day and good evening for relaxing minutes on your computer. This is my first post on Ibelis blog so I will expense some words to introduce about myself. My name is Van and I am working as a marketing executive at Ibelis. An specific point is I started as an internship for marketing position here. After 2 months working as a member of Ibelis team, I decided to continue my work at Ibelis although Alex, sometimes, was very strict with me ^^.

Before interning at Ibelis, I have had some interesting interview experiences at many companies and today, I want to share with you may most memorable experience. That was a long interview, about one hour at a big beverage company. My first impression on the interviewer was her eyes; she had special eyes which can read your mind at the first time. After some personal questions to create a friendly atmosphere, she began asking the important question – What do you have to fit with a marketing position? I felt very confident to answer her question because this was a common interview question. She listened to me very carefully and continued asking many questions. The second important is why I choose marketing. I chose marketing simply because I love it, I said to her.

After hearing my answer, she stopped asking and began to share her ideas and her owned experiences. She thought I was very good at number so I might be a careful person, this was unusual for a marketer. With her, marketers must be someone very creative, active and little crazy. I didn’t have any ideas because I haven’t contacted much marketers before. She claimed that I was suitable with working in planning department and only accepted my internship as a planner. Can you guess my answer? Of course I didn’t agree, I would do what I want. She looked at me with her special eyes and said: ” I know how you feel but not everything you like is suitable with you. I am an example”. I began confusing >”<. She continued sharing with me: "You are young, you can do the thing you love first but not everything you like is suitable with you (she repeated again), you are not suitable with marketing." And this was the end of my interview.

I am working at Ibelis at a marketer, my favorite job and I can’t image what will happen if I really that marketing is not suitable with me?
